New Farm residents fear a proposal for a scaled-down apartment complex in the backyard of heritage-listed Amity House will gain development approval.
An application to build a six-storey unit block at the back of the riverfront property was rejected by Brisbane City Council in 2008, a decision appealed by owner Tony Dempsey in the Planning and Development court.
With the court case ongoing a compromise to build a four-storey complex has brought to both city council and the Queensland Heritage Council.
