It goes without saying that Mother’s Day warrants a very special outing to appropriately celebrate the most important lady in your life. So with this monumental day fast approaching (and when I say fast, I mean it’s this week!), we’ve come up with a super-dooper list of all the best Mother’s Day activities that Brisbane has to offer.

Mother’s Day Brunch | Alfred & Constance
As if pancakes in the sun on Alfred & Constance’s deck doesn’t sound appealing enough, the promise of a breakfast martini made with marmalade or a peach and honey bellini will surely win mum over.

Mother’s Day Breakfast | Summit Restaurant & Bar
What could be better than treating mum to a fabulous breakfast with a view of the Brisbane skyline? Yep, pretty much nothing. Summit Restaurant & Bar, located atop the stunning Mt Coot-tha lookout is the perfect location to spend the morning with your wonderful mum. And just when mum thought the morning couldn’t get any better, she can indulge in toasted waffles with liquid caramel, or maybe even blueberry pancakes with white chocolate sauce. Delish!

Mother’s Day Her Way | Story Bridge Hotel
Does the idea of treating mum to a day of indulgent wining and dining sound like a plan? Well the Story Bridge Hotel has gone above and beyond this year, playing host to a variety of gorgeous options to ensure your mum is extra spoilt this Mother’s Day. Whether mum is partial to a scrumptious buffet banquet, an indulgent High Tea, or just a simple, relaxed lunch or dinner, the Story Bridge has got her special day sorted.

Time: Breakfast 7am-11am, High Tea from 11am.

Beneath The Marquee | Victoria Park
Cherished Brisbane mums will enjoy Mother’s Day in style this year when they attend a buffet breakfast or French-inspired lunch at Victoria Park. Treat mum to either a ‘Marquee Buffet Breakfast’ between 7:30–10am or a delicious ‘Garden Marquee’ lunch from 11:30am–3pm. Whichever way you choose to spoil mum this Mother’s Day, we guarantee the team at Victoria Park will make it a day to remember. Spaces are limited though, so get in quick!

Mother’s Day Set Menu | Mondo Organics
West End’s Mondo Organics are open for breakfast, lunch and dinner on the big day, and have a set lunch and dinner menu on the cards for Mum. She can choose from the likes of oysters with finger lime caviar and verjuice jelly, free range pork terrine with quince and toasted pane, a goats curd souffle with dandelion, roast pear and chestnuts, and a heavenly chocolate and date pastry with whipped orange ricotta and cumquat compote, to name a few of their offerings. If you’d rather take mum out for the first meal of the day, Mondo also have an absolutely killer new autumn menu, which features, among other delights, dark chocolate buckwheat pancakes, hazelnut syrup, and vanilla bean ice cream! Delish much?

When: Open for breakfast from 8:30am. Book ahead to secure the lunch and dinner set menu, and breakfast.

Japanese Infused Mother’s Day Lunch | Sakè Restaurant & Bar
If mum is as big of a fan of Japanese cuisine as we are, then make her day uber special by treating her to a divine Mother’s Day meal at Sakè! Their à la carte menu will be available for both lunch and dinner, and to make her day even more special, mum will also receive a complimentary glass of Pink Lady Saké. Reservations are essential, so get booking.

Time: Lunch 12pm to 3pm, Dinner 6pm ‘til late.

Mother’s Day Lunch | Aria
Are you umming and ahhing over what to do with mum this Mother’s Day in Brisbane? Why not spoil her rotten with a decadent 3-course lunch at Aria, with coffee and petit fours for afters, of course! She has free range of Aria’s specially curated Mother’s Day menu, which includes oysters and shiso, twice-cooked sweet pork belly and crackling, barramundi fillet with prawn and crushed peas, and a hazlenut, caramel and popcorn ganache, with hazlenut icecream.

Francie Mays Mother’s Day

An Afternoon At QAGoMA | QAGoMA Restaurant
Spend the afternoon at GoMA with mum while enjoying a three-course set menu, with a glass of sparkling courtesy of QAGoMA’s Executive Chef, Josue Lopez. With dishes on offer such as seared black kingfish with confit leek, egg yolk, pear and purslane, mum is in for a real treat this Mother’s Day. HIGH TEA

Champagne High Tea | Bacchus
Make this Mother’s Day one Mum will never forget, and treat her to Brisbane’s finest high tea at Bacchus South Bank. Indulge in a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, plain or fruit scones with Bonne Maman raspberry preserve and cream chantilly, an assortment of sweet delights, and her choice of fragrant Harney and Sons fine tea, with a glass of Moët upon arrival. The ticket price also includes a jazz pianist and a special gift, just for Mum.
