We’ve been operating for 5 years across Australia, trying our hand at different aspects of photography and really trying to fine tune our craft. Since moving back from Sydney in October 2014 we’ve set up shop permanently in Red Hill. Brisbane is and always has been home. We specialise in Studio Portraiture and Fine Art, which is intentionally quite a broad spectrum. A portrait to us could be your family, baby, pet- anything with a personality- we can capture it. Our fine art can be really off the wall (pun intended). If you are a family that loves horror films and want a family portrait escaping a zombie apocalypse we can (and have) make that for you! We’ve won awards but that’s not what it’s about for us, you are what we’re about and who we do it for.
What is your point of difference? Our Creationist series really sets us apart. It starts as a blank screen and we build and piece it together like a montage. Our experience in creative advertising has helped us develop this style. We believe that we are the only Domestic Photography studio in Brisbane with the necessary studio space, high-tech equipment and skills to develop such imagery at a price that everyone can afford. We can do crazy things with computers!
What do you love about the local area? Red Hill/Paddington is special, from the vast array of funky cafes, boutique stores and proximity to everything! But most of all, since opening our new studio the local community has been overwhelmingly supportive. So our answer is, the people!
Brisbane’s biggest kept secret/your favourite local spot? Well it’s hardly a secret but the Paddington Antique Centre is probably our favourite spot. Being a studio and collectors of anything cool we can find! It’s a real treasure trove.
