Information for prospective tenants looking to rent through Calibre

Finding a place to rent can be a stressful experience. At Calibre Real Estate we have a list of real estate rentals all over Brisbane, we work to make this process as easy and stress-free as possible.

Firstly, make an appointment to view the property that is for rent that you are interested in.

You may make this appointment either online or you can phone our office. Once the property has been viewed and you would like to rent the property through Calibre Real Estate, simply click here to apply and supply the appropriate documentation.

Completing your Application

To complete your application, click here we also request the following documents with your online application submission:

· Two forms of Photo Identification (driver’s license, 18+ card or passport)

· Two types of confirmation of your current/previous address (rates notice, car registration, tenant receipts, phone account, credit card statement or similar)

· Proof of Income: this can be payslips, a group certificate, bank statements, Centrelink letter or statement from your accountant. If you have more than one source of income, please provide all details.

Processing your Tenancy Application

Following your inspection of the property and upon submitting a fully completed application with all the necessary documents; our property managers will review and process your application. This process normally takes 24 – 48 hours and you will be contacted to inform whether your application has been successful.

Moving into your New Property

If accepted, we will arrange a time and date for you to sign your General Tenancy Agreement. Upon your acceptance, you will be sent an email from our office with a copy of the tenancy agreement to read. You will also receive details on how to pay an amount equivalent to two weeks rent to secure the property; this amount must be paid within 24 hours of acceptance. These monies will be receipted as ‘part bond’ and lodged with the Residential Tenancy Authority.

Prior to collecting the keys for your new home, you will need to have completed all paperwork, paid 2 weeks rent in advance and paid the balance of your bond (normally another amount equivalent to two weeks rent)
