Calibre Real Estate are proud sponsors of two remarkable McIntyre Centre horses. One of these horses, Beau, played a starring role in the Centre’s recent Dressage Day event during Disability Action Week.
This year Disability Action Week was aligned with the Paralympic Games and was held with the aim to empower people with a disability, raising awareness of disability issues, and improving access and inclusion throughout the wider community.
The McIntyre Centre Dressage Day provided McIntyre riders with a unique opportunity to participate in a competition environment against and alongside riders from the wider community. In a field over 100 entrants there were 40 riders with a disability who were able to showcase their skills to the judges. Beau and his rider Ezra, who has been making wonderful progress since he began riding at the Centre, came in a very commendable 8th place – a fantastic effort for their first time competing together!
